Cheesecake Brownies

I don't believe there is a tastier brownie out there.
Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cheesecake Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 C sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl combine melted butter and cocoa, stir until cocoa is dissolved. Add the 2 C sugar and mix well. Add the 4 eggs one at a time and stir until well combined. Stir in vanilla, flour and salt until you no longer see any flour (do not over-mix). Fold in chocolate chips. Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan.

In a separate bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1 egg and 1/2 C sugar. Whisk until there are no lumps. pour spoon-fulls of cheesecake mixture onto the brownies. Use a knife and cut through cheesecake/ brownie to form a marble design.

Bake for approximately 30 minutes. DO NOT OVER-BAKE -- your brownies will come out dry. If you do the knife/toothpick test, it should come out with moist crumbs, not clean. Cool completely before cutting into squares. Serves 20.
